The Long Short Weekend…

I helped Tim work on their new camp down on Cobbosseecontee Lake.  It was a small crew with Tim, Kasey Peacock, his friend Kevin, Mert the logging crane operator, and me.  We had hopes of getting the roof shingled, but we had to put up the roof panels first.  This was interesting considering each one is about six feet wide and twenty feet long.  This isn’t so bad except each panel was lifted by the truck with a rope held by one of us to prevent it spinning.  Oh and it was cold and the wind was whipping.  I almost got launched with one of the big panels.  Tim came back to our house to crash, instead of his tent…  The next day was much nicer, but the little odd jobs prevented us from getting much shingling done.  I’m just glad I’m a desk jockey!
