I went snowboarding today with Jon, Shawn, Marie, and Ryan to Hermon Mountain (Hill). We took about an hour lesson and then the instructor took us up to the top and let us go it alone. Needless to say, it wasn’t pretty. At the top, I took Ryan out immediately when we got off the chair. The bunny trail we took seemed to take forever since I fell (hard) every 5-10 feet. My body aches all over! Later we went to Great Skates to meet up with Kelly’s church group. Lily was a trooper and kept going even though she couldn’t skate. By the end, she was much braver and better. I feel a few times here to add to the current pain…
Yesterday we went to Augusta to meet up with Joe, Anie, and Spencer at Margarita’s for Joe’s 40th birthday. We had a great time and I think he was genuinely surprised. Lily and Spencer were so good, so it was a relaxing time for all.
Before heading down, Kelly had gone to the Bangor Auditorium for Jody’s cheering competition. Her team won first place for class C! They’re going to regional’s in NH at UNH in a month. It was a first for Hermon, so everyone was psyched!
Update! Here’s a link to an article in the Bangor Daily News!
I joined Nitro Fitness for Men last week and really enjoy it. It’s truly a 30 minute workout that’s extremely low impact. I think I’ll be striking with this gym for a while.
